GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
To bring Institute into a demand-driven, quality conscious, efficient and forward looking system, responsive to rapid economic and technological changes occurring both at national and international level.
To create infrastructure / ambience support for establishment of centers in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology (Paint, Oil, Plastics, Biochemical, Food, Leather) ; Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Civil Engineering to assist development of centers of excellence in chemical engineering - chemical technology and remote sensing at the Institute.
To create state of art laboratories to carry out teaching and research activities par excellence to compete with the developed nations.
To create modern digital library and computerized information system.
To improve quality of education in order to produce educated products of the highest order and promote industry-institute interaction in all possible ways for mutual benefits.
To render consultancy services to industry in various areas of engineering and technology for their project quality control, management of environment and conservation of energy.
To create supportive infrastructural facilities for better living and all round development of students of the Institute.
To have super specialization at post graduate level in all the disciplines of engineers and technology, existing at the Institute and to start newer areas of specialization like remote sensing and bio-technology.
To act as a nucleus for the development of technical manpower of highest merit / quality to cater to the needs of the south east region, whole of Africa and South America.
To run the trainer's training programmes for improving teaching / learning process.
To conduct faculty / students exchange programmes with the universities / research centers of the developed countries.
To take affirmative action for increasing access of economically deprived section of society and women to technical education at all levels.
To develop alternative modes of delivery including the distance mode , and computer - assisted and web based learning systems to offer opportunities of skill and knowledge up-gradation to students, working professionals, and all those who can benefit from such delivery systems.
